My current work approaches the subtleties of living, defined by form, movement, colour and texture. I am influenced by the living world around me. The use of highly textural and seemingly organic surfaces serves to increase this sense of the mimicry of life. The exploration of the complexity and uniqueness of movement within the forms further fuels my momentum and motivation. Each form, through the contours of the body and the placement of the legs captures movements which are compelling in their peculiarity. In fixing this moment, I am interested in how we perceive and assign qualities of both the object and the organic to the works through our perception of their colour and implied exuberance.
