 “@RTwalk is an Homage to the company at which I used to be an employee.  This show represents a group of new paintings completed over the last two years.  I’ve been trying to push my painting into a sort of subconscious responsive space as an artist, to engage with the immediacy of the materials.   When I’m working in studio, the process of painting becomes a spontaneous act, a reaction to the work, allowing the paintings to develop organically.   These paintings are about the act of painting.  The paintings are the process, similar to improvisation in music or at least that was the intention of working in this way, allowing the group of works to develop as a collection.   The paintings become a sort of document or recording of the act of making the work. Some of the work takes on specific references some less so”.
